Maori Unpacked, 14, Another look around the room

14

Another look around the room
At any point you might see a locative,
i, ki, kei. hei
You can start to count things in the room
E hia nga tuuru?
How many chairs?
Kotahi te tuuru
There is one chair
E rua nga tuuru
There are two chairs
E toru nga tuuru
There are three chairs

You can even organise your chairs using ordinals and positionals
Ko teenei te tuuru tuatahi
This is the first chair
Ko teenaa te tuuru tuarua
This is the second chair
Ko teeraa te tuuru tuatoru
This is the third chair

And you now have to work out where to put Doing Words or Verbs. Why not next to Nouns in the middle of the room?
Ka haere au ki waenganui ruma
I go to the middle of the room
