Comment from Merlin on the story on Fran O'Sullivan and Paula Bennett in puff 515
'It is outrageous that people like Bennet and O'Sullivan can get away with racist comments like the ones they have made. Increased child abuse statistics are indicative of the destruction of the social fabric of this country. They have risen at the same time as imprisonment rates, suicide, domestic violence ,drug abuse and alcoholism and the introduction of neoliberal reforms. The only thing more outrageous than the comments is the fact that they have not been crushed by commentators who can see them for what they are '
Saying of the week
Thirty minutes into the play if you haven't found out who is the fall guy then its probably you.
REview
R J Ellory has been in New Zealand recently. Hos 'City of Lies' is one of the best books about New York. Read it closely as it comes packed with gems.
