Analysis
So far the Last Gasp Cafes are NOT getting hits on YouTube or Google video but may be on the puff site. The idea here was to have shows on YouTube and Google with advertisements for the site so that people would see ads there and buy.
Given that a lot of hits are from outside of NZ and Australia look for an Australian agent as well as a New Zealand one on the grounds that people hitting the stes might come to his part of the world as Tourists or buy Aust/New Zealand goods on the net. A shop with local goods on puff?
Some more thoughts:
1 We have a Brazilian model who likes the song Sweet Killer Love. So the songs become sound tracks for photoshoots?
2 The lighting and the feel of the Last Gasp Cafe seem OK. Build that up and sell it to tv? Get a sponsor for The Last Gasp Cafe as a whole package wherever its found- on any site, blog or TV station. Cross back to The Guardian local newspaper to advertise The Last Gasp Cafe.
3 Back to the idea of a local tv station. Build a loop out of the Posts and let it roll day and night on an unsuspecting Palmerston North? Or build a loop to compete with TV Geyserland in Vegas?
4 Go back to education. Posts on Unit Standards?

Otherwise the analysis is the same as below.

Next moves
Stay with the Last Gasp Cafe. Each one is dedicated to a person or concept. Start changing these. Work on the set. Feedback is that the lighting is alright and the mike is OK.
Build up site with Posts that contain writing as well as video.

340 hits overnight- probably not from NZ or AUS

You're Free
1321
101 hits overnight

Gloria

Here comes the rain again/Astral Weeks/Sweet Miss Jay-Angelina Jolie verion/ Anna for Ana Nicole/ Anna for Anna Hoffman/Changing Chairs all chipping along at two or three hits overnight and the rest all picking up the odd hit.
Note that seriously nothing is happening for Radio Story/The Story Continues on YouTube

Google Video
Radio Story
10 views and two downloads
BQ on B
One hit
Need to find out difference between what google means with a sale as opposed to a download. How do sales work?

Puff
12 hits overnight

Analysis of hits on songs
1 YouTube is the venue for hits.
2 Google which I've just got onto and which has only three songs on it is the place for downloads. Why though is Radio Story with the same info on each of YouTube and Google doing better on Google? Radio Story is not linked to Brazilian Models, diet, eating disorders, death or the like.
3 Why are the one take, one track songs like Gloria and BQ on B doing so well? These videos both feature one track guitar work. The best guitar work on all songs is, in my view, on Radio Story where the beat is complex and tight with the guitar tracks chasing and this is part of the tribute to Aretha Franklin and to Alicia Keys featured on the song. Next up though might be Crossroads which is not doing many hits.

Analysis of hits on advertisements
1 nothing much happening
2 More direction back to the Puff blog required from YouTube and Google.r
3 Placing advertisements in the songs?
4 Product Placements?
5 Putting videos that promote products in with the song videos on Youtube and Google?
6 Take Posts on puff and make shows with advertisements sprinkled throughout? For example The Last Gasp Collection. Then put the shows on Youtube and Google.
7 Promote local places in the videos. We do know that a lot of hits are coming from outside NZ and so tourism to NZ might be an angle to work. Tudor Towers in Rotorua? The Secet Thai Garden in Otahuhu? Cafe Vertex in Palmerson?

Analysis of where a strong hit rate might lead
1 Northern and Southern hemisphere hit rates seem about the same now whereas formerly more hits seemed to come from NZ and Australia.
2 Need better hit counters to show precise geographical areas where hits are coming from. Then CDs or DVDs might be marketed to those areas, performances held there etc.
3 Team up with the locals? The hit rates are stronger than other NZ things on YouTube or Google..so far though there is very little local association..
